From an underwriting standpoint there are big changes regarding perils. A peril is that which causes a loss on a homeowner policy. But some perils are covered and some are not. In a single occurrence (as defined in a policy insuring agreement) you can have both excluded perils and covered perils. What factors are used to decide coverage?
